Chord Shapes Pt 2
In part 2 of the series, you'll learn to use the chord shapes from part 1 to play melodies! Following a I IV V progression in the key of C, use the C major scale, but play a note from your chord shape when the chord changes. You can state the changes of a I IV V progression without leaving the major scale! Try the exercise to get a feel for it, and then improvise over the play-along track.
Make sure you already understand Chord Shapes Pt 1 before you start. It's also a good idea to review Movable Major Scales.
